Empress Senior Living is a true boutique senior living residence. This extra attention gives Empress Senior Living a special responsiveness that other senior living communities cannot match. We are not part of a big chain and our residents notice this by our quick, decisive response to their needs. This also allows us to customize the culinary experience of our residents.

    Executive Director

    Jeni has dedicated herself to the senior living industry for 27 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Empress Senior Living in her role as the Executive Director.  Jeni also has a background in Food Service Management and Event Planning. With this knowledge Jeni helps the team at Empress plan and implement food and activity programs. Jeni is a Certified Assisted Living Administrator through the Washington State Department of Health and Social Services and is a Certified Specialty Dementia Manager. Jeni has a singular focus to solve the big resident problems quickly and efficiently.  Forging relationships with residents, families and staff is the most enjoyable and meaningful aspect for Jeni as the director at Empress.

    Joy has worked in senior living for 15 years and brings a wealth of knowledge to Empress. Joy's background with Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care lend great value to clients seeking the right fit for retirement living. Joy's passion for assisting families through transitions is evident in her personal commitment to each and every client, both before and after move-in day.

    Qween Gipson has been working in the senior living industry for over 25 years. Over the course of her career, she has worked as a CNA, Home Health Aide, Dementia Care Specialist, Health Unit Coordinator, Activities Director as well as a Memory Care Director. She has a bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Leisure from UMUC in Aviano, Italy where she was also the Youth/Pre-Teen program director and educator for the Department of Defense. Qween is Veteran of the Unites States Air Force and absolutely loves spending time and learning from her residents.

    Jason Graduated from Purdue University and is an Eagle Scout for Life. Jason is a highly skilled professional focused on positive team building. An experienced culinarian in senior living, hotel, and restaurant food service. Jason employs a classic methodical approach to cooking, infused with modern day flavors. Jason is Passionate in the food he creates and his attention to detail is evident both in presentation and taste. Jason's goal is for every person to remember that moment they tasted his entrees or that dessert. When they do think of that moment, Jason envisions a smile on their face & warmth in their heart. That is what Jason does! Jason encourages this philosophy in everyone he mentors as the culinary director.

    Wellness Director

    Linda Nickels, RN is an accomplished, resident focused Registered Nurse with over 40 years of experience in the healthcare field. Linda is an RN with focus on Geriatric population, Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and has worked in Assisted Living for many years. Linda has lived in Seattle area most of her life. Linda loves to garden and care for her 5-pound toy poodle.

    Heather Cornelius has been working in Senior Living for over 25 years. Following in both of her grandmothers' footsteps she became a Nurse, and she quickly learned her passion was for Geriatric Care.   Heather was born in Dayton, Ohio and grew up in Woodinville WA. Her proudest accomplishments are being a mother of three and now a grandma who loves to spoil her two sweet grandbabies.

    Sandra has been a Seattle area resident for over 40 years. She has a bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management from WSU. Sandra has owned several Restaurants, Catering Businesses, worked in the Hospitality Industry and worked in the Medical Field for over 12 years. Working and serving others is not only a strength but a passion of hers.

    Scott has been a Seattle area resident for 20 years. He has spent over 7 years in the construction industry. Scott is skilled in drywall, painting, light plumbing, carpentry, landscaping and customer service.

    His hobbies include rock climbing, hiking, surfing, camping, snowboarding, and painting. He has a passion for the PNW and is committed to making this community a positive place.
